Parsons Joinery –
products that are
proudly Made in Britain

We’re proud to be members of Made in Britain, a campaign supporting British manufacturing. We make all our own products in our workshop in Ringmer, East Sussex – our facilities, our experience and our homegrown talent allow us to provide you with a truly personal service and give us complete control over quality.

How does our Made in Britain membership benefit our customers?

Our Made in Britain membership is your assurance that you’re buying bespoke products from a committed local business.

To become members, we’ve had to prove that we adhere to their core principles and business standards – this means we must:

  • Have our own manufacturing facilities where we make our own products
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards
  • Be committed to providing skilled/semi-skilled work environments, nurturing manufacturing talent
  • Act fairly and ethically in our commercial activities

When you buy from us, you’re supporting a local business, promoting an important traditional craft, and helping the British economy. You’ll be a part of the whole manufacturing process and you’ll even know the person who made your products by name. Our customers are very welcome to come and visit us in our Ringmer workshop to see our skills in action.

Why is
British joinery important?

In our industry, the Made in Britain campaign is especially important. It’s essential we preserve British joinery and manufacturing processes – our unique architecture relies on it. Historic Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian properties in particular need joinery that maintains their character, and many buildings in the UK have listed status.

European joinery methods are fundamentally different to those used in Britain, which are perfectly suited to the traditional properties found throughout the UK. We need to keep British joinery alive to preserve our architecture and protect our heritage.
