The doors and windows in this listed property in Wivelsfield were assessed as completely beyond repair. The timber had warped and moved over the years which meant that the joinery fitted so badly that many the doors and windows did not open or required force to open them and they were also very draughty. Listed Building Consent was applied for so that the windows could be double glazed but, unfortunately, this was denied and we were, therefore, commissioned to provide like-for-like hardwood replacements with draught strip for improved thermal efficiency.
