We have used our considerable experience of the characteristics of timber and thorough research of the market to select the finishes that we recommend for our joinery.

At our first consultation, our Estimator, Trevor Flint will discuss your project in great detail including all aspects from design to the final finish for your joinery and what level of service your require from Parsons Joinery.

  • Are you replicating the existing joinery which may be rotten or replacing UPVC windows, with windows that may be more in keeping with the age and style of your property?
  • Are you replacing single glazed joinery for more thermally efficient double glazed windows and doors with modern security hardware and draught proofing to reduce fuel costs?
  • Do you want us to install the joinery or supply for your chosen contractor to install?
  • What kind of timber would be most suited to your project and whether you would like a natural wood finish, a stained finish or painted finish?

We offer the following finishes as standard but we are happy to accommodate special requests if required. It is important to consider whether the finish you require is a more traditional brush finish or a smoother, modern spray finish. For traditional joinery, a brush coated finish may be considered more authentic and, in this instance we would brush coat with one or two coats of primer/undercoat for paint finish on site by your chosen decorator. Our finishes have ecological credentials and are, wherever practical, water based.
